Rem Air System
The REM air system is an aftermarket
enhancement
designed for carburetor-
equipped motorcycles to
boost power
output at higher speeds. Operating
on the
principle of creating an overpressure in
the
airbox, the system effectively increases the
density
of air flowing through the
carburetor into the
combustion chamber.
Consequently, the motorcycle can
achieve
a power increase at specific speeds.
The
body was printed from heat resistant
PLA. The doors
were actuated with a
central servo, and sensors for
monitoring air
pressure, air speed and throttle
position
were added for further system control.
